Lismore NSW (nr Byron Bay)
Hi
we are planning a visit to Lismore, NSW (near to Byron Bay). To look at the Southern Cross Uni and its facilities.
Can anyone recommend somewhere decent, but economical to stay?
Thank you

As for Lismore itself it is not too bad. Being a University town there are a lot of students around. I don't think the drug problem is any worse than any other town - where I emigrated from was far worse IMO and that was in South Wales. You get used to to the small town mentality - it has it's compensations - friendliness for instance. The town I live in has made us part of them in just 5 years. We are now local.

Thank you for your replies, so far!
Sounds an interesting place?
Does the Uni have a good reputation and is there any chance of getting my son locked up mid afternoon while he's there??

We still haven't lit our wood burning stove !
