A week or so before I came over here to the States, Ballina Regional office advertised for a Pensions section manager. Talk about great timing.

LOL...they were never known for their timing...either side of the counter...

Its pretty sad, but I am hoping I might be able to get back into Centrelink when I get home as the Govt jobs are just so damn flexiable...and we are wanting to start a family in the near future and with the maternity leave, leave without pay and then able to go p/t...its ideal...

Hi Paula

We are at the very beginning, 139 Visa Application arrived at adelaide today.

We are going to have our medicals done in a couple of weeks and sending our police checks off as soon as we get them in the post. Hopefully when we receive acknowledgement we will send meds etc straight off.

Paula How long did they give your assurer to pay the bond?

Hi Paula
Yes I got your pm thanks, hows the foot?
I see you are aiming for Nov. do you have a house to sell? and still intend to go to Coffs, is that part of your visa? I don't fully understand all the different types they do, we went on a std skills visa.
Keep well

Hi Alison

The foot is ok now, but it's left quite a scar!!!!
We have no house to sell (council) which is quite good, but the money from the sell of the house would of been nice, but the good thing is, we will be staying with my uncle for as long as possible (bless him, he won't know what has hit him when we turn up!!!!!!!!!) :scared:
We are heading for Coffs, but it all depends on good jobs, school etc, as part of our visa (139-designated area-sponsor) your sponsor had to live in certain area's for you to qualify for this visa, but we later found out you do not have to stay in this area, which i find confusing, as this is why we got the visa in the first place (DIMIA want to get people to stay clear of the big cities & head for the small towns)???????? Hope this makes sense

Stay in touch
Paula
