Re: Land Rover
When the Husband is awake I will ask for his imput.....he's a Land Rover nut, we have two at present. Second hand hold their value so can be expensive. We came out with a similar plan and ended up with a 'new' ex display model with a 5 year warranty...the maths just worked better that way.
Will give you some links when I can.
Edit: Here is a main dealer here on the Gold Coast to give you an idea of resale prices.

and for a bit of r+r: http://www.roverpark.com.au/
Just found this too: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/queensland...old-coast.html

Re: Land Rover
Any questions about Land Rovers in Australia you should PM Aliread on here as well.
He's a mate of mine and is without doubt one of the biggest Land Rover heads I have ever met. Imported his own 110 from the UK short wheel based soft top, toured Australia with his wife in it from sea to sea and is a 4WD instructor. That vehicle has featured in 4WD mags here and can often be found bombing around Bayside Brisbane.
He has a second Land Rover Defender for his lovely wife as a runabout - thats how bad it is
He is, however, one of the most knowledgeable blokes about Land Rovers and will help to steer you in the right direction as well.
