Default Customs in Melbourne & container arriving??

Hi -
I was wondering if anybody knew about the regulations regarding Customs in Melbourne? My mother's container would be arriving, whilst she is on a tourist visa, as she is coming to stay, until her PR visa comes through in September.
Would she need to pay tax on her container? Her PR paperwork is all in the system, and she has declared that on her application for the 1 year tourist visa.
Any advice gratefully recieved!
best wishes
Charlotte

ps does anybody also know a good place to store containers, as we won't be able to fit all her stuff in my house!
