Default kittens

could anyone please help as my daughter is driving me nuts.

we have just had kittens and my kids want to keep one.

how much would it cost to take two cats rather than just the one.

thanks for your help.

Presumably double. I think they would have to be in separate cages, or at least a double one separated by bars if you get me.

Why not tell the kids that when you get to Oz you will need to get a kitten anyway to help the cat settle in? That way you can save on the shipping and keep the kids happy when they arrive in Oz.

We would love to get a kitten, but there is a no pets with the rental. I tried to compromise - said I could hide the cat during inspections and we could tell the agent the kitty litter is a zen garden (with boulders). Bert wouldn't go for it....

Worth getting several quotes.
My friend took her two cats and it was a bit cheaper taking the second one and they travelled together and were quarantined together. There was also a reduction in quarantine costs for the second cat too.

Don't know why the shipper wouldn't quote for the two cats, perhaps this is because some shippers insist you measure your animals.

Good luck with choosing one we chose Golden Arrow and although they weren't the cheapest they weren't the dearest either. do a search as there are loads of threads on this subject.

I have been told that cats can share a big container and they also can share a room at quarantine, costs more than one cat as per vets costs and quarantine food costs but not double the cost, Pete

There are hundreds if not thousands of kittens sitting over here waiting for someone to adopt them. See your local rescue centre or RSPCA organisation. It will cost a heck of a lot less than bringing a kitten all the way from the UK.
I suppose it depends on how much you want to spend.....
