Kites
Our daughter (4 years) have been going on about a kite since we got here so we decided to go and buy one from a shop in Wembley - brilliant idea - our garden backs up onto a huge park and we have been out flying the kite - the delight on my daughters face when she ran through the park with the kite high above her head was second to none. I would recommend this to all who have kids and have not yet been convinced

There's a lot to be said for kites for big people too 
One of the things I'm looking forward to having from our shipped gear is my big power kite - the one I got is called a 'flexifoil bullet 3.5', which as the name suggests has a surface area of 3.5m^2 and generates enough lift in a 30km/h wind to lift all 100kg of me off the ground......

Definatly agree with the big boy kites, since we moved to townsville have met up with some others who fly power kites and have got into it in a big way, have flown 3m flexifoil which i love, 1.7m bullet which is great fun for when the winds a bit low and a 5m kite aswell, got dragged all over the place with that one, was grinning from ear to ear after i had stopped eating grass.

He runs a kite club on the local sports ground for local and holidaying children (and adults!) when the weather is good.
I bought a parafoil kite there a couple of years ago, and just recently bought a bit framed kite- great fun!
