Hi everyone.
I just had a couple of questions which I hope you can all help me with.
1, To all on here who got jobs sorted ready to go to, how did you do that?
Any advice on the best way to make these kind of arrangements from here?
Originally this wasn't something we wanted to do but now with the 175 taking forever & knowing we'll get much less for the house than we planned it may just be our best option.
2, Now, this may be a silly question but here goes
- I have really long hair (down to the bottom of my back) & people keep saying to me "oh you'll have to cut that off when you get to Australia, It will be unbearable" Are they right? Anyone with long hair made the move & can tell me how they've found it?

I found a job online and applied for it, the next day a recruitment consultant replied asking where i would like to work and how soon could i go, the following week i had an interview - 3 way conference call at 5am and they told me there and then i had the job (subject to contract so to speak). The hospital is sponsoring me and i have a 457 visa. All this happened in Feb and we are hoping to move to perth end of Nov, The recruitment consultant sorts it all out for me and guides me on what to do next.
All running smoothly and quickly! and if i have any problems or questions i just email her, (or come on this site of course)
But alot of people go about it all different ways, it depends on how you want to do it!
What ever you decide all the best!
As for long hair, i have long hair too - but maybe not as long as yours, but i just tie it back in the summer,

But we've already applied for the 175 and been waiting forever. Don't wana start all over again with a different visa, plus you are so restricted on a sponsored visa, with where you can work, where you can live etc which is the main reason we went for the 175 -the freedom of choice once there.

I also find it easier to deal with when, in summer, I frequently go in the pool.

Ive got long hair and found its not a problem. I live north of Perth and temperatures are bit hotter. I keep my hair down all the time, only tie it back when Im on the beach/swimming etc.
However Im not tempted to cut my hair shorter.
Only thing Ive noticed is my colour fades quicker.
