I agree. The residential parts are very nice.

In any area where you have bars, nightclubs etc you get trouble. "The Old Bailey" and the nightclub a few doors down are a tiny section of Joondalup and well away from the residential areas.

When I visited my Brother we went to Baileys during the day for lunch as it was a great atmosphere I thought it was a great wee place. Has it changed that much in 3 years and if so is that because of all the Brits moving there???

Sounds like the same rubbish comments we get over here. Surfers is a tiny tiny part of the GC but according to some, it IS the GC so the whole place is crap. Ignorance is king apparently.

It is nice of a lunch time, just gets loud and noisy of a night, with a few that want to spoil it for others!

Different crowd at lunch time. Different crowd during early evening. And different crowd again late at night.

Oh my friend stays there. Well we heading to Kinross then I dunno where from there close by I guess will depend on where we find a house. I will be happy for sure if there is a pub close to where I stay that is for sure lol.. I like the pub atmosphere. I used to own one so I miss the social life a pub can bring.
It is good for my kids to well young adults but still kids to me lol.. It will be a good place to meet ppl and hang out so hopefully it will be a bar that has that kind of atmosphere. Im in Belgium just now and most pubs are all aimed at families

I have lived in 2 suburbs in the northern suburbs neither of which are a mess. Both have home selling for in excess of $1m.

I suggest you find somewhere better to live. Surely it has to be better than Manchester doesn't it???????

Great place to "grab a granny" apparently...

I'm not a fan of the OB but I do like Joondalup in general - the suburb and the city.
