Default Joondalup "The Old Bailey"

Is it me, or is this place a grotty suburb with constant violence attached to it.

I feel sorry for its residents, as peoples faces screw up when they say "hoondalup" and "old Bailey"...

The pub is a dive. The suburb sadly gets a similar reputation but we looked there when we bought and thought it was OK if we could have found a house we liked. We are the next suburb along and like living in close proximity to Joondalup and don't care if people think we live in a dive.

Rough pubs have characters though. I used to frequent many when back in Nottingham and I do miss that sort of pub atmosphere. Its just not the same here in Australia

Agree. There's no such thing as a bad pub.

So very true!

Heres an example of a game of bingo on a sunday lunchtime that decends into total chaos. You won't find this in your wine-bar or bistro.

They used to have strippers on aswell on a sunday lunchtime and the pub was always freezing, the compare would announce just as the stripper went on "You might need to jump around a bit love!"

One pub does not a suburb make. Or does it?
