Had a gorgeous brew at Feral Brewery in the Swan Valley the other day. Very very tasty - Farmhouse it was called (if you're passing).
Also because I'm on holiday, been drinking a fair few LC Pale Ale - fantastic brew. Really tasty.
In fact, hitting Little Creatures in Fremantle tonight for a pint straight from the barrel. - just to annoy those of you who have visited but can't get there because of small things like distance. (I'll have one for you!!)

VB is nothing like English bitter. Nor is Toohey's Old.
Some pubs and most bottle shops sell Kilkenny, which is proper bitter (and is brewed by Guinness). Usually around $16 for six small cans.
If you've got a Dan Murphy's nearby, you can get Boddingtons, Tetleys. Newcastle Brown and virtually anything else you might be missing from the U.K.
If you want him to try something Aussie that's actually *good*, you can't go far wrong with almost any of the Coopers or James Squire range.
