As the other poster said - like BA but with a kangaroo on the tail. Hubbie flies alot with them as does a friend of mine who is crew! Only on Sunday she was asked whether she was a polite flight attendant or a rude one!!!!!

Well known fact...Qantas exist primarily for the benefit of their staff.
Apart from their extremely dubious taste in sponsorship targets (west London Russian shyster funded European footballing minnows & the bogans favourite AFL team) Emirates is the only way to travel between Oz & the UK

Last year we flew Qantas we were lured by child friendly brochure - in reality the child's fun pack never materialised (blank vacant looks when we enquired). The children eat first policy went out the window when we were twice left without any food at all and had to ask. Since there was no hot food left, we had to have salad which our little one would not eat. She survived on a banana (they were plentiful back then) and some cheese and crackers I had in my hand bag. Mind you, the in flight entainment (playstation and movies) won her over. I got tired of being looked at as if I was something nasty the flight attendant had just stepped in. No more Qantas for us.

Qantas have less leg room than Singapore, or Emirates, or Malaysia.
Enough of a reason for us to avoid them like the plague

I think Qantas are very good, I like flying with em. Emirates are probably the best though. BA, while also sharing flights with Qantas I think they are awful they really are. No wonder they dropped the tag "the worlds favourite airline"

Yep maybe long haul... but when in a public service job, its just what it is... a huge component of the role is to attempt to ensure that the customer experience is a positive one...
