Default John Mason Removals - Great Service

Hi

I had 2 guys in from John Masons last week to pack up the contents of my house for shipment to Melbourne.
I would just like to say what a fantastic job they did. They turned up on time, estimated how long the job would take (and if it hadn't been for the fact that they could not back the container up the drive would have finished ahead of schedule) and got it right. The 2 of then worked like troopers, not stopping until absolutely everything was tightly packed into the container on the second day.
They even made sure there was enough packing material inside the large plastic boxes I had already put some ornaments and other stuff into.
I didn't have to lift a finger except to make cups of tea!

They were an absolute godsend and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I won't see my stuff until the end of April but having seen the care they took with each box I am quite sure there should be no issues with breakages.

In all fairness, everytime i have moved people have been like this. The real proof is not in the packing timing but the quality. And that will only be todl when you reach Aus, and get everything unpacked and see if anything has been damaged.

Ironically, the worst thing is that the most likely damage will come from the customs and AQIS people since they check boxes at will, and if they are not careful, or the shippers this end do not care, you'll have damaged goods.

Just got to hope things worked, but PSS were exactly the same having spent three days packing. But it means nothing until it gets unpacked on Tuesday and Wednesday...

Just to warn you, JM also did a great job packing up our stuff when we moved and also helped out a lot by 'losing' some boxes on the way. Too much stuff didn't find it's way to Oz yet every box counted out was also counted in. If I ever did this again I wouldn't allow them to write 'general' on any box description but be specific as to the contents, that way I'd know that everything was actually boxed up in my cargo.

We used JM too and thought they were great. All boxes returned to us still sealed. Strangely the box of expensive computer software never did make it to our gaf' in Melbourne........(them or the warehouse, who knows).

Are you on a shared container. If so, that's to be expected. If not, then you should give them hell.

And bear in mnd if it has now left the UK, the expected arrival will need about 2 weeks+ added on for customs and quanrantine. So mid of April is more likely when you receive it...

Yes i had JM too and they were great.. just a note though in nsw they use Chess to deliver and Chess didnt bring and sheets to protect the floor etc... maybe when they ring to arrange delivery you can discuss this with the happy happy chess office girls lol... also the delivery guys werent the smartest on the block. They told me my dining table wouldnt fit in the house and they would have to take the legs off - legs dont come off! So whilst they were trying to rip the legs off (big kiwi bro's) i removed a window and said 'hey try through here'... bingo!

Chess guys were really nice and friendly... just not the professionals you expect after JM guys.

We used John Masons last year and they did a really good job. Like you say they worked like troopers to get things done. We got our stuff back just before new year and nothing was missing or damaged. We would recommend JM to anyone.

We used JM and live in NSW and we had Kent removals deliver our stuff only last week, very good, work very hard unpacked a 40ft foot container in a morning. As we didnt want to upack the stuff as we are in rental, the guy said when we eventually move to ring Kents who will come and take away all the packaging and boxes. Now thats what i call good service. All our stuff got here ok, so we can tell as not upacked everything.

Hi,

we have also had a very positive experience with John Masons. The packing in the UK was excellent...they were very professional, and did it all in the time estimated. THey also squeezed a couple of extra bits of furniture in at the last minute.

So the container left the UK on 16 Dec and reached Sydney on the 16th Feb. After a nervous wait for it to clear customs, it was delivered on friday (after phoning the Chess office to chase it).

The chess guys were great. Bit rough around the edges, but did an absolutely cracking job. Only a couple of small cheap glass vases were smashed and everything else arrived intact.

Would definately recommend John Masons. Chess were good, but because the girls in the office weren't particulaly helpful I wouldn't use them again if I was moving with Oz. But John Masons get a big thumbs up from us!!

Hi Charlene
Our stuff arrived in Adelaide from Oldham today via John Masons then Wridgeways and cannot fault the service at either end. We had one minor breakage and that is it. Hope all goes well for you.
