Default jobs in Perth

Hi This is a bit long winded so please bare with me.

I have been applying for a lot of jobs from Scotland as we are due over in a few months but i am not even getting a reply to say my CV is Sh**e lol.

i just wondered is it because my address is still Scotland even though i explain this to them in the covering letter.

I am a drafter for a mezzanine floor comapny but with a back ground of Architecture, shelving racking etc.

i would be willing to do any job on arrival as long as it pays a few hundred $ per week as my OH will be the main bread winner.

Mick

Maybe its a couple of reasons.Probably in most cases its best to apply after you arrive and secondly it sounds like you may be looking too early. If you're not planning on moving for months,it might be better to wait until it gets closer?Good luck!

You wont get a bite at all until you are here and ready to start tomorrow. Perth's engineering job market is starting to fire again but for people like draftees especially companies are only hiring on contract on a job specific basis

You're wasting your time at the moment. Wait until a few weeks before you are due to arrive and then contact some agencies - I did this and they arranged interviews for me a few days after I landed.

Job market for drafters is picking up but it will be mid-year before it really starts to kick off.
