emacs is nice and snazzy but try finding it on a system where they don't even have the man pages :scared: Vi works, always.
So what's the crack with Unix work in Oz? is there plenty about?
I'm moving to Perth in August and would be interested to know if any of the big software houses or telecoms companies do anything technical in Perth. I'm just contracting for Vodafone at the mo doing some testing but my background is mainly app support and deployment/integration stuff.

Sydney and Melbourne have lots of IT jobs. But Sydney is probably better, more jobs there and your likely to meet more people,
