Jobs etc - electronics/electrical engineering?
We are considering our options for emigrating - we are shortlisting Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Canada would be our top choice were it not for the 3yrs+ wait, so we are looking into our options Down Under as well.
My hubby has a HNC in electrical/electronic engineering and has 10yrs+ experience - mainly in electronics. I am currently studying for an IT qualification.
We have 4 children aged 8y to 18m and just discovered another one on the way! We want to make a new life while our children are still young - before our eldest starts high school.
What is the job situation like for electronics engineers? Where do we stand the most chance of finding a job? What about wages/cost of living/house prices? We don't want anything extravagant - just a 4 bed with some sort of garden would be nice (we're in a 3 bed terrace now so any improvement on that really LOL)
A lot of questions I know (sorry!)
thanks
Stella

Have a look at this and see whether you can get state sponsorship.

Easier and quicker to migrate if Victoria accepts you. I applied end Nov and had a visa by mid-Jan. Xmas added a few weeks to that as well.
Re housing, it will be bigger!
