Default job prospects

is the prospect of gaining employment really bad for poeple wishing to emigrate. We go in June and am really worried. Dont want to use all our capital up. CNC machnists are still advertised but is any one actually employing?

Where are you going? Australia is a huge country, so what's hiring in Brisbane may not be necessarily what's hiring in Perth.

Would also add, be aware that alot of adverts are for jobs that don't exist. Many companies are using these slower times for CV gathering.

I have been out of work for nine weeks now. This is the first time in 28 years since I started work that I have been unemployed. I have a lot of experiance in my field but still no luck. We arrived in Perth in September last year. No regrets so far. We feel lucky we are already here but its going to be hard getting through this recession. For someone who is still thinking about coming over be prepared but, you might be very lucky. If you can wait, hold off till things pick up. Good luck to you. Things always work out, it just might cost a little. Its one of those rainy days.

It doesn't matter how many times you ask the same question, we are still in recession & getting employment in many fields is extremely difficult.

Where you are moving to & the demand for your profession in that area will affect the outcome.
