Just sit back and get rich without lifting a finger without exactly being innovative or productive.

I think that's where the jealously lies, not from the folk who have made money from being business savvy, saving hard, etc.

So people who have generated hundreds of thousands of pounds of profit, speculating on property are not " business savvy?"

Mostly lucky. The ones with business savvy are the ones who sold up and cashed in their chips before the downturn.

I said last month that people should be very wary about coming here and was abused.

Anyone who is not a nurse will not get work in Perth anymore and now that Australia is not letting any tradies in now I think its pretty fair to say that people who are not in have missed the boat.

Sorry to sound Harsh but its true. Australia is not a nice country to immigrate to when things are not booming. It also doesn't help many peoples cause that the Kingdom aren't letting many Aussies in as well.

Not abusing you but a) looking through job sites over that way there are other jobs, not just nursing and b) where on the DIAC site does it say that Australia is not letting Tradies in?

Not saying it's peaches and cream but I think you're being a tad over negative about the current situation. People want facts whether good or bad, not fiction

Go to Mycareer and you'll notice that almost every second job is listed as being re-advertised. People are collecting resumes no one is hiring unemployment in Perth could top 15% when the last of the mining projects are finshed its that bad here atm.

Today another Brit I know is being sent home thats the 3rd in one week I know.

Do not come out to Perth you will not find work and that right now for almost everyone is fact not fiction.

Would love to know where you get your stats from. People are still hiring, just not in so many numbers. Yes there are job ads that are being used for CV gathering but there are still some genuine job offers out there.

With so many people looking for work I think there are more companies now advertising direct rather than using agencies. It's must better to apply direct rather than have to go through recruitment agencies in my experience.
