IR Tax return needed for tax rebate?
Has anyone been asked by the Inland Revenue to complete a tax return on asking for a tax rebate on leaving the UK?

Yes, I have. It's probably because the end of the UK tax year is only a few weeks away (I left about 2 weeks after the end of the tax year). It's worth getting a government gateway ID; this makes things easier if you need to file from Australia.

Judging by the response most people are not asked to complete a tax return on leaving?
