Default Interest on deposits - Qld

What is the best interest rate on deposits at present and where would I get the best rate?

Will it be easy for a family of 7 to get a place to rent in Bris, GC, SC areas. We will have about 4 weeks from the time we get there to find a rental.

I think you can get about 5.4% with citibank online account. The amount is at call, but there are some conditions.

Suncorp may have given you 5.25% but what are the conditions? There will always be conditions. Bank in Oz do not give money away easily.

You can usually get conditions on timeframes of withdrawals, transfers, account minimums, account maximums, frequency of withdrawals before a penalty is incurred, standing orders, tax limits.....

.... dont know which of the above may apply to your account (if any) these are just the ones that apply to various accounts that I work with
