Default immunisation jabs

Hi all this has most likely been asked but can't seam to find it ,but do we need any immunisation injections before we leave have asked our local health centre but they don't seam to know.

No you don't, unless you are having a stopover somewhere en route that has extra requirements. For Australia you don't need anything.

no jabs needed if you haven't been anywhere recently where you may have been exposed to yellow fever or similar. Straight from the uk otherwise will be fine!

Ooh soooo exciting, can't wait til we get to this stage.

Hi,
I would get any tetanus, polio jabs etc done before you leave UK cos you have to pay a fortune for them over here. If you are due any boosters make the most of the NHS.
You need the same kind of vaccinations over here as you do in the UK!

We had quite a few immunisations done, Hep A & B, typhoid, dip, tetus etc etc... not needed for Oz, but we thought we would get all up to date anyway... plus we thought we might head into Malaysia or such like on the way (we did end up in Hong Kong and Thailand)... I digress.. I suppose we were just keeping our options open!
