Default I'm leaving now

After a prolonged period of time on the forum, coming to Australia on a student visa, then getting PR based on my wife's skills (sincere thanks to George Lombard), we've returned to Australia after a strange 6 weeks in the UK for christmas as permanent residents.

Started a good job 4 days after my return to Australia, and now looking to buy a house (without a mortgage........yahhhhoooooooooo)

We are so pleased to be here permanently (after a year on a temp visa) and cannot envisage going back to the UK to live.

I'm gonna hang up my boots on British Expats. It took over my life for 18 months and it is time to forget the whole saga. We made it and love it.

We're staying in Armidale, NSW for the foreseeable future, great climate, nation parks galore and free trout fishing everywhere.......what a life.

Good luck everyone. It's worth the effort!!!
