Default Ikea in Oz??

Hi all

Does anyone know if there is an Aussie equivalent of Ikea or Argos??

We are going to Adelaide so if anyone there can assist with this one I''ll be grateful.

IKEA is present in Oz. In fact I think I saw it over there before I saw it in the UK. Don't think I've seen any 'catalogue shops' like Argos.

Well the Aussie equivalent of IKEA is ....IKEA...
They definately have them in Victoria, and have had for over 10 years.
If you ever admit to watching early neighbours on the telly, you would see that they used a lot of furniture form IKEA.

In Melbourne, they have just opened a new huge store.

Have a look at the IKEA web site, it tells you all the Aussie ones.
www.ikea.com

I just had a look, seems they are in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney(2 of em) and Brisbane.

Seems if you are realy keen for IKEA you might have to take a truck to Melbourne.

As for an Argos equal, not come across one of those yet.

I should add that Aussie stores like Kmart and Target have what they call 'Layby'. it's a bit like a reverse Christmas Club except you take the article after you have paid all the installments.
