Problem for us is that Sunday is our only day off together to get things done, so it is hard to find what you want when all is shut. Not everyone wants to do nothing on a Sunday...like you say, one day it might all change.

Both WA Labor and Liberals are now committed to Sunday trading and are making it an election issue. As Carpenter is making noises about an early election - this year instead of next, then it might happen sooner than you think.

Good, nothing wrong with change. For those that don't like it, then don't go shopping.

I can't get used to a lot of shops closing at 5pm; I know it's the norm in the UK (5-6 at least) but I haven't lived there for a long time, and I'm used to them all closing about 9pm.
How do people with jobs spend their money?
Should I avoid the malls on a Saturday?

I think it really depends what you buy as to whether its more expensive here or not. I did a bit of research on the UK one compared to the Aus one in the beginning and found some things cheaper, some more expensive. I guess they price it based on local market as well as shipping/import costs.

I've just realised that I'm the only person who doesn't actually like or enjoy IKEA. Oh dear.
