I will probably get shot down for saying this but, in the United Kingdom and Australia you are innocent until proven guilty

Even though this was a despicable act, the suspect remains innocent until the moderator or administrator exposes them.

Hints and suggestions and Chinese whispers by PM are not the way to deal with this. Either come out and say who you are accusing so they can admit / deny it or defend themselves. Or let the administrator check the evidence and expose them on facts and not hearsay.

Unless you were captured as an "enemy combatant" by the United States in a foreign land and brought to Cuba for indefinite detention, but that's another story....

I'm not the only moderator on this forum. While I didn't delete the "Gay" thread, IIRC, it was deleted anyway. Hence, I can no longer review what happened in that thread.

I have a hunch as to who the culprit is, but a hunch is all it is, for now. If anyone thinks he/she knows who the GB is, PM me in private. Do not name the individual here, as it'll lead to more flame wars, which isn't something I welcome.

And please, use passwords that aren't too common.

Cant say I have followed this thread, because I assumed the Administratior could find out and ban whoever it was, although all they have to do then is find another computer. Frankly I dont have a clue who its supposed to be, however as someone who was once accused of being one and the same as Wilf!, I agree with k88 the administrator should get to the bottom of it.

my thoughts exactly. If you are going to accuse anyone at least give them the chance to defend themselves.. it is wrong to say that a certain person has done it in ( in childish whispers). and not to give that person you are accusing that chance to defend themselves.

oh well people are people.. some people they will believe anything that some people feed them.

I've been on this site for over a year and I have not got a clue either who is supposed to be doing it.

P.S if you are scared of identity theft.. use a weird password.. a non English word and symbols .. Hubby is a b*gger for his passwords.. so simple.. he uses names, I use foreign words and symbols.. I keep telling him if I was a hacker I could easily hack into his.

That's only if one knows a foreign language

It sounds as though there is no way of tracking the culprit, and another day on it all seems less important, in my experience on this forum, there are several; posters using more than one identity so which ID would you blame anyway?

I actually use a slang password (only slang to me.. it's too werid) on this site.. a nonsence word ... but mostly if I do need a really good password.. I use a foreign language (slang words too) and change some of the letters too. (you can get programes that scan for passwords.. if you use symbols, and non correct spelling and such it's harder to crack)

Hubby "gets me" I've been to things which he has joined up (like ebay) when I need to use it .. and guessed his password.. ahh too simple.

Change your passwords people use @ $ % ^ & * ! in the word.. also use numbers.. use slang, use a foreign language in slang. anything but don't use something like "Kangaroo1" or dotty2 words like that.

Well, I guess it's finally time to change the one-worded family member's name Hotmail password which I've had since 1998!

your like my hubby! use a slang word instead , say for instance you have a dog called spot ... but he is brown...

use Bsp*t* y , or bsp@t.... (b for brown spot change the word)

use something which is nonsence if you do not know a language

or say you call you dog .. cupid ( a pet sicky name) try Bc@pid .
