ICT Fast-track ????
Hi All,
Received my acknowledgement letter today, please read below:
"Note that the processing of your application is expected to take approximately 50 weeks unless your occupation is one of the ICT occupations covered by the Minister's priority processing direction."
Is it just the wording or is the fast track program only available to specific ICT occupations, if so does anybody know what these specific occupations are?
Thanks for you help and good luck everyone!
Cheers

You already posted this question at least once, and I've replied before. My reply is
shown below once again.
I always wonder why so many people post via BritishExpats - it seems that many
messages posted there never reach the wider Usenet world and vice versa. Why not use
a standard newsreader for newsgroups?

Jeremy
TESTTEST-
As far as I know it applies to all those who have an nominated occupation in IT and a
skill assessment from the ACS. How long it will last for is anyone's guess - the IT
job market in Australia no longer comes even close to justifying it.
Nurses also qualify now for faster processing. Leaving aside the ethics of this whole
fast-track policy, it has at least got some justification in the case of nurses.

Hi Jeremy
Sounds like you have a sort of standard newsreader. Could you let me know what it is?
Unfortunately as I use AOL (until I get to AUS) I can't use Outlook to read newsgroups (at least I don't think I can).

Jeremy,
I was aware of your last reply, I also beleive that it applies to all ICT occupations, however I was looking more for definitive information rather than an opinion.
Cheers anyway,
Glenn
