I.T jobs Perth

Very sane comment. Those who depend on just a product like Sap or Siebel are living on the edge. That product may be killed by competition, changing paradigms, etc in 5-10 yrs. The only way to thrive in the field of IT is to re-invent yourself. Don't marry a product or a narrow technology. Open up your reach.
Look at me - In my job,I do the work of an IT administrator (AD, Exchange), SQL developer, .NET developer (web, winforms), business implementor (Dyamics, sharepoint), UI designer (silverlight, flash, photoshop,etc).. you name it. But I still feel, I'm incomplete and want to learn more.. . so grow horizontally rather than vertically

Very well said bro! But I am really glad to see you have your hand on many technologies in IT oh gosh! It is actually good.
According to me, what is in demand today, may not be in demand tomorrow.
Cheers!

Like an Albatross, which enlivens itself from its ashes every 100 years, we ITers should re-create ourselves every 10 years... Unlike other industries e.g. mechanical, recruitment, cookery who rarely change : IT is a very cruel industry, there's no room for obsolete people, no matter how senior, loyal and patriotic you are.

My mom says what the hell do you study all the time. When are your studies gonna complete? I say this is never-ending. This is IT

Re: I.T jobs Perth
Hi Guys,
I am a oracle DBA professional from India. I got my PR this November. I was planning to move to Perth in march with my wife and then start my search for a job. Would Perth be a good place to start or should I try Sydney(very expensive) or Melbourne. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
thanks.
