who have seen it and done it, at the end of the day it will work out for some and not for others.
I am fairly sure that a lot of people & family's on here really hide how much they are putting on the line by making this move in the first place?
When you first think about the dream what goes through your head? the sun? beaches? bbq's? a life totally distant from what you have here?
They were without doubt my first thoughts? now? my first thoughts are me & my best pal are doing this adventure together & for added extras we are bringing 3 little people with us!!
I am in no doubt my kids would have chances to make it in the UK if they want them, they will still have the chance if they want them, my kids will decide their own futures, i want to give them the best enviroment to make those decisions, in mine & my wife's opinion that enviroment is Australia.
In Closing i also hope that my wife is very happy in Australia!!

I agree, you get out of life's experiences what you put into them. Despite Kong's offensive posting where he mentioned me in particular, I am under no illusions about Oz. I grew up all around the world, mainly in the US, and I know that everywhere has its share of problems, and I know Oz is no exception. I am leaving the UK (hopefully!) as I want to explore this side of the world, as I have spent 12 unsatisfying years in the UK, and my husband and I want a new experience. (he grew up in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan) Yes, we are giving up a gorgeous house and secure jobs, but so what? How very boring our lives would all be if we never took any risks.
