We are SOLD and exchanged
We will officially be homeless on the 23rd of March and booked the flights last night to go on 18th April .... in the meantime we will be staying at my Dads.

We had next to no interest for six months... we got fed up of waiting and allowing the house sale (or lack of) to control us, so we booked our tickets for Aus. Then 3-4 weeks before we were due to fly, a viewer came and offered full asking price. We've just completed today - about 7 weeks from first viewing to completion. Been in Secret Harbour with ChippyDave tonight - celebrating
If anyone's interested... we advertised the house privately on House Ladder: http://www.houseladder.co.uk/welcome.aspx and this is where the buyers came from. I sat down with our estate agent and explained that we had found a buyer privately and the manager said that, since it was not through another agent, they could not enforce their fee... so another bonus..!!
To all you still waiting and stressing: I know exactly how you feel... but one day soon you will be living the dream and all this will be a distant memory.
Also, I have turned away three prospective viewers (via the House Ladder site) in the last two weeks, so it seems like the market is definitely being stimulated. It's your turn next..!!
