I still have plans to decamp to a yurt around Nimbin.

**** house prices and the ridiculous unhealthy ways we spend our time and money.

I must have been the only person to drive to Nimbin and fail to score. Everyone seemed off their tree (it was boxing day) but no joy. Drove back to Byron Bay with a block of cheese and some poncy quince jelly.

also heard on the radio this morning Brisbane prices fell 7.5% last year.

Rent half the price of a mortgage.

Why buy?
Hello!

I guess it is because everything has gone up in price.

Went to Byron Bay for xmas about 20 years ago whilst in Oz on a WHV, me and a mate were dispatched to drive up to Nimbin on a rented motorbike to score some weed for the gang, after spending all the money we had collected on a stash we set off back towards Byron only to breakdown on the edge of town and without any money. Ended up having to sell most of the ganja to pay for the repair costs so we could get back.

Cool story. I went to Nimbin in about 1995 and was offered weed within about 30 seconds of parking my car.
