Hi Lynn,

We pay a home hairdresser 19 bucks each.
That's for 3 men cuts and 1 ladies trim.

Re: How much is your haircut?

I paid $20 for a tidy up trim in a local salon where I live in Albany Creek.

Re: How much is your haircut?

I go to Maurice Meade at Whitford City, Perth... www.mauricemeade.com.au

I think they are pretty good, used Aveda back in the Uk and I actually prefer it over here... Prices vary, it's just like back home, $185 for certain colours and foils, to $50 an so on.... the ultimate package is $250.... but their styles are 'up to date' for want of a better word.... and you get to sit in these great vibrating chairs when they wash your hair, very nice, but no free glass of wine!

Now all we need is a French Connection and Monsoon, and Gap, and Jigsaw, and Office! :D

'Just Cuts' which is a chain. $27 for a wash, trim, and 'part blow-dry' to take the worst off! Bargain, but I did miss walking out after having my hair straightened, and actually looking like I'd "Just stepped out of the salon" :D

LOL I know the feeling I used to get my hair cut in a training school which was part of Hair Traffic salon, they washed, cut, blow dried, straightened my hair all for under £25 a bargain. :D My hair is soooo straight it is amazing they thought they could make it even straighter. :D

$40 for wash cut and blow dry (blow DRY, Bix...) in Five Dock (Sydney's inner west about 10km from city). You can have individual foils at $5 each if you just want a bit of a "lift" on the top/fringe etc -lifts the spirits too! In the E. suburbs you could pay $60-80 for shampoo/cut/dry at some salons. Don't know about city centre of Sydney.

What's this about a vibrating chair  :scared: Down Bix, DOWN I said.

FAB isn't it, no need to thank me :D Spent hours trawling the web to find it, as I had used a similar salon in the UK, think I deserve a commission.

Now this Desperate House Fly needs to get back to doing the housework LOL

Re: How much is your haircut?

$50 for a trim and $250 if I also want highlights.

This is a small salon in the suburbs and it does'nt matter how much I pay I always come out looking like a lesbian :(

Re: How much is your haircut?

As mentioned by someone else - Just Cuts, a low cost no frills (wash hair before I turn up and no blow dry) $20 in the burbs.

Colour out of a box, $20. Highlights by hubby (non hairdresser).

I keep a stright simple cut so do not need anything fancy but if I went for a layered or more detailed cut I would possibly go elsewhere. They seldom have the same people in the salon for more than 6 mths and if they are very good they usually leave sooner.

Same $20 for my daughter, Son can spend up to $50 when he needs more than a trim and hubby gets a barbar job for around $14. We also have clippers at home for hubbys hair.

I find hair product expensive and usually trawl priceline and the other cheap discount chemist store to get the products I need - mostly wax and gel for the kids.

Re: How much is your haircut?

Jules paid $240 for some highlights at Cranium in Manly.
I nearly fell off my chair when I found out.
Usual cost for cut is $100-150 depending on where she goes.
For me it's $25 with tip! Provide your own bowl though.

Simone Jul 1st 2005 3:23 am

Re: How much is your haircut?

$15 for a cut and dry in my lunch break at Maddington Metro :D

About $30 for wash, cut and dry at a salon in Mt Hawthorn.

About $15 (on special) for hair colour from Target when I feel like it.

Re: How much is your haircut?

$87 for cut and blow dry from place in lakeside, Joondalup. Looked terrible though.
$145 for cut, blow dry, an all over colour and some foils from Maurice Meade in Whitfords. Really pleased with it. Will definitely go back there again.
