Default How much Tax

Hi,

I have been offered a job at melbourne for 60k a year.

Is it worth ? I am on a 138 visa.

Assuming a family of three with my kid of 3 yrs, what would be the tax I will have to pay. I have no other income.

Thanks in advance........

Thats a monthly gross pay of $5,000.
Net 3,865 (after 1,135 tax)

Is it worth it ? That answer can only be answered by you and based on what kind of lifestyle your family leads....

Also take into account any family benefit A or B payments you may be entitled too. You might also get someassistance with rental.

The social payment org in oz is called centrelink - if you google it limited to oz sites it should be easy to find.

Any idea where the job would be based?

If you use public transport and avoid private transport it would make a huge difference on your budget. Would be a struggle but could be done and as you get a foot hold in terms of rising pay it would get more comfortable.

The job is based in Melbourne. Its around Tullamarine, so I guess I will have to looks for a private travel arrangement.
