hiya, just wondering, would going to Oz without much money affect the visa process? Would they deny u visa?

I'm curious about this too. I'm pretty young, so it might seem obvious my wallet wouldn't be loaded when I arrive... Probably able to bring AUD10,000, best case scenario.

There is no clause for having a certain amount of money on the 175/136 visa.....(PHEW!!!!!!)

The most important item to bring is your sense of humour.

No matter how much money you bring over you always need that GSOH.

Don't underestimate the importance of the expat community for initial & on going support network. It may come as a shock to some people after years of going through the migration process with neighbours and fellow workers trying too dissuade them from the move to Oz, to arrive and be confronted with people eager to help and encourage.

Hi, we are looking into having about that much also £85k, is this a good amount to get us started? We both have careers, (nurse and engineer) however the expense of houses in Perth worry us a little.
