Question How much money must I have?

Hi, please can someone tell me the approx amount of money I must have to emigrate to Australia on a Skilled Independent Visa? What bank or financial checks are carried out and at when do they do it? I have had my skills assessment accepted but I have no money !!
Regards

I dont think you need money for DIMIA to let you in - unless you need the extra 5 points by posting a 100,000$ AUS Bond for 12months.

The immigration forms / website do warn you that coming to Australia isnt cheap and that you dont get social support for 2 years - so no income support/unemplyment.

Some cities are better than others and offer assisted settlement programmes from memory.

Aus is not a cheap place to live
