Default How much does bringing a pommie cat cost?

Hi all

Does anyone know roughly how much it will cost to bring a cat over with us when we emigrate.

He needs the chip thingy

How well do Pommie cats adjust to the heat on the Gold Coast in Summer?

Cheers

Si

it cost us £1150 to bring two cats + $1100 in kenneling fees for the month in quarantine. One cats owuld have cost us about £750 plus about $700 in quarantine fees

we spent extra to get our cats vaccinated against raboes so we could get them EU pet passports so if things go horribly wrong and we have to return they won't have to go into quarantine on return.

That's a good price. I am £1150 + $400 (kenneling + local vets etc) for one cat. That's about £1400 - for a cat. And she's on meds for arthritis.

I'm mostly concerned about her getting bitten by some deadly thing (or maybe hit by a drop-bear?). She is used to being at the top of the food chain here in Scotland.

btw - good tip on the rabies vacc (even though I'm never coming back to the UK...)

Paul.
