I agree, they will price match, as we have bought loads of stuff for equal or less cost than a competitor, and also if you sign up for their Myer One card, you can save loads of money. We spent about $10,000 in Myers (during their sales and over a period of time), and we have received about $1,500 to $2,000 in gift cards.

cheers folks we are having aggro selling the house so have reduced asking price a tad.Doing the sums to work out how low we can go if an offer comes in.We spent the weekend online looking around and got it down to $10000 to furnish a 3 bed house.Sassie will be in touch regarding motors as am struggling to find anything decent for less than $12000 (holden coomodore).

Depending on what kind of furniture you're after, what about second hand?

We're planning on heading straight to a St Vinnie's (charity shop) warehouse and seeing what we can pick up there.

When I worked in an old age home in Brissie a while back, some of the oldies would give cracking pieces away when they moved house
