Decided to emigrate to Oz because of the program A new life down under.

no, we decided ages before that was originally shared but it has inspired us to get a move on

We'd decided we wanted to just before it came out.

No we didnt but once we made the decision I have been glued to it, just to get a glimpse of the different areas and an idea of the lifestyle. Unfortunately, the program doesn't actually show that much of the places themselves.

The MIL saw a prog about skilled labour shortages in woolongong and they said ..plumbers would be on the next plane, yeah right.

completey the opposite, after watching some of em we nearly changed our minds :scared:

We spoke about it approx 2+ years ago, got in touch with the agent, spoke some more, researched a bit, spoke, went off the boil, chickened out and left it for about 6 months. Then went for it after shedloads more talking etc..

I watched 2 of them and was so embarrassed to be British that I couldn't watch any more. In a few days I will watch Kath and Kim and be so embarrassed to be Australian

Yeah, they were OK (if we're thinking of the same people) - he was going for an interview as a security guard and was a big Kiss fan, she was an office admin.

What made me wonder was the clique and sub-community they were trying to form within a Melbourne suburb. One of them even said they were actively sponsoring all their friends from Swansea to come over ASAP. Jeezuz. :scared:

the couple who went to tazzy did it for me, they went to taz bought a shop to run the wife really went for it but her other half was a total knob, quote(i did`nt realise running a shop would be so hard)
