How to make an idea, reality?
Hi,
I'm new here so brief details are: I am 29 and a fulltime Mum to 3 children aged 8, 3 and 10 months. My Husband is 32 and a Medical technical officer (Electrical Medical Engineer Dept) for the NHS.
I would love to emigrate and have wanted to for years and years and finally have decided to do some research.
My head is spinning with information and I have looked through the Australian Embassy website and looked at the SOL list - not entirely sure which one my Husband falls into or even if his job is specialist enough to qualify.
Obviously I would have to go on my Husbands credentials as I am a full time Mum. I have worked in preschools but have no qualifications for this.
Would it be best for me to get qualifications and work experience then attempt immigration a few years down the line??
Any advice would be greatfully received as I have no idea where to start.
Many Thanks

Welcome to BE!
If you have enough points on just your husbands occupation then I would just go for it. Why put something off that you can qualify for already. The process is stressful enough without adding college courses & exams too!
Good luck!

Why not speak to a Migration company for advice on the best route to go down. You can search on here for names of companies. We used Access Migration and they were very helpful.
Another way would be to visit Sandown Park Race course in Esher, Surrey where they hold an Emigrate exhibition. The next one isn't until the end of Feb 09 unfortunately, but you will get all kinds of info from that.
Alternatively, ask here on the Immigration section.
Good luck!
