Default How expensive is the Gold Coast?

It looks like we are going to be left with about £30k for a deposit on a house in OZ after shipping, flight and giving ourselves £10k for a car and rent until my husband can find a job. Moving to the Gold coast around Robina area do like the look of Mudgeeraba. Husband is a spray painter and what i can gather from a recent thread is that he can earn any think from $600 - $850 a week which is a big drop in wage. We have 3 children so i will be a stay at home mom.

Can anyone help. We have not been to the Gold Coast so we don't know how expensive it is there. We would like a 3/4 bedroom house in a nice suburb. Have looked on realestate.com but it's hard to know which are the nice suburbs, and what we should be looking at in $ realistically. What is the property market like at the moment in the GC is it any think like Perth?

I know our original dream of 4 bedroom 2 bathroom double garage with pool for $250K is out the window........ where did i put those rose tinted glasses i want them back

Hi Stacey & Jordan,

you will need to find those glasses because things have moved on a little since you could buy that spec for 250k.

If you would like any property examples or updated suburb information then please pm me and I can assist you in anyway I can with regards to property prices and areas.

good luck with it all.

Tony
