We hear there are plenty to do in Sydney. We will be making our permanent move shortly. Our son is 4 year old and we hope we can fill his life with lots of fun and nice experiences. So, how do you spend your weekend in Sydney, as a family with small kids?

There is plenty to do in Sydney. It depends where you are. If you have kids, then you can take them out swimming. You can go the city as well, which has some nice places. You can also take your kids to the cinemas, there are many in Sydney, HOYTS, Village etc. There's plenty to do.

And there is also a fun center (check in a mall) for your kids.

We tie kids to a big hook and go fishing for sharks off Manly beach.

Aquarium, Taronga Zoo, Tumbalong Park, Luna Park, Museums, etc etc...........or hanging them off a hook and fishing for sharks........I'd go to Bronte or Clovelly though. Manly is a bit pretentious.

Thanks, I will bring my fishing gear then. Btw, how big a hook you are using and how many kids per hook? Also, any luck with the sharks?

There is a website called Sydney For Kids & there is a free monthly paper called Sydney's Child that you can pick up from toy shops, doctor surgeries, etc that has loads of info. The Opera House even has a kids program - a bit pricey tho that one.
