Hi Everyone,
Have got visas and house hopefully sold. But because it went for a lot less than I hoped will need to get working ASAP after arriving. Would like to teach and get ball rolling now. Does anyone know how you begin application process to get registered? Can I do it from England before I go?
Any help gratefully appreciated.

"where? it's different for every state"
If you're heading for WA I imagine she will be able to pass on quite a bit of advice, as she is going through a re-entry process with the WA education dept. currently. For other states I imagine she may have some more general pointers/urls.

You should try the Teachers Forum in the occupation section - sure someone there will be able to help

Agreed - knowing which state is essential - they are all different.
My wife has recently been through the whole process and actually has her first day teaching (relief teaching) today

My partner has just got the letter confirming her registration for Victoria. All states appear to be about the same but they wanted all the information that was needed for the NOOSR application. In Victoria, if you have been teaching for a while you can apply to be a fully registered teacher otherwise you get a provisional registration until you have worked for a period of time in a school.
You can apply from the UK before you go as we have done!!!
