If you are travelling with SIA then ask about the stopover scheme. You will get discounts on hotels, free transfer, tour bus etc.

The stamford is lovely. We stayed there last year and are staying there again this time in February when we set sail for pastures new in Brissie. it has it's own shopping centre attatched and has access to the main shopping centres via underground walkways (air conditioned). The only downside is if you have a fear of heights as it's a towering building, but baring that I'd deffinately recommend it.

The website for the hotel is:-
http://www.swissotel-thestamford.com/

Hi.

thanks for that, I think the Stamford looks lovely, however looking on the websites the intercontinental also looks good, I think I will have to toss a coin between the two!! and with it being a stopover I suppose it will have to be the one nearest to the airport.

Lightbulb Re: hotels in singapore

Might be worth comparing prices at the Allson Hotel.
Very cheap by comparison to Swisshotel etc.
Fantastic location just round the corner from Raffles, pool, gym etc.

hi

thanks for that, but as my husbands company is paying they dictate where we stay, and I can think of worst places, when I have looked them up on the website.
