To the people who have done it, how long would you book your short term accommodation for, we are arriving on the 20th august, how easy is it to get a fairly nice rental ? We are heading rockingham way

We had 3 weeks which was more than enough. But with rentals a lot harder to come by these days maybe best to play safe?

Hi

If you are going Rockingham way try Cedar Cottage a poster on here as she has some lovely accommodation.

Thanx for that, we were looking at 6 weeks and this gives us time for our container to arrive

Bear in mind that when they say it will arrive and when it clears customs / quarantine and the movers have time to do it can be very different. Our stuff was running early when it arrived at the docks but was 3 weeks late by the time Crown had got their finger out. Sleeping on a blow up mattress for a month is no fun.

Obviously holiday lets are more expensive and you can't begin to settle until you have found a rental and know which suburb you are going to be living in etc too.
