Default Re: Hi!

Are you referring to the new Skilled Independent Regional visa, or to the Skilled - State Territory Nominated Independent visa? Your previous posting indicates you are looking at the new SIR visa, rather than the Skilled - STNI visa ...

Best regards.

According to our migration agent (Concept Australia) they have spoken to the WA Govenment and they will be taking part, and have hired a consultant and more details will be out soon. Never been to any other part of Oz except Perth, so don't really know about any others.

My husband is now self employed, which your right does make more work, does have formal qualifications but still has to have proof of work.

Good luck with your TRA let us know when you get the results!!

Yes I do - Vic. Immigration are really nice (the people on the line that is). I've got the form filled in and have been waiting for a reference from my old tutor, as they wanted my CV as well, as I used to work in an area 'in demand', but have recently had a baby, so haven't worked in the last 18months. I'm looking to go back to college and it was an easy swap from the JNC that I was going to do over here to the Diploma in the field they need people (since I already have some quals. in that area).

thanks for the good luck vibes - there's so much flying round here - I'm sure we'll will each other through

Nikki.x.

Hello dottyspots!

Not sure whether you know that depending on occupation and the existence of formal qualifications you can apply for a State Nomination from the Skilled Migration Unit in Melbourne BEFORE you obtain the skills assessment classification (unlike SA, where you must have the classification before you seek a State Nomination).

Good luck!
