Default HELP.....Swift code

Hi all

Its a long shot but will give it a go.

I have an account for the Commonwealth bank held at the Gympie (QLD) branch.

HIFX need to know the swift code for this branch but of course they are shut up for the weekend.

Does anybody know it or know how to get hold of it??????

Any help appreciated.

cheers

Give Commonwealth Bank London a ring. They must have a full listing of all branches.

Good Luck

It must be, if that's the only one they give on the net? Maybe calling the London branch would help....

Best get it right, eh TT!

Not sure if this will help, but have a look at http://www.commbank.com.au/personal/...ivingMoney.asp

It mentions:
"Your overseas bank will need the following information to make an International Money Transfer (IMT) to your Commonwealth Bank Streamline account:

SWIFT PAYMENT TO:
CTBAAU2S with the following details:
Bank: Commonwealth Bank of Australia
Branch: Branch where you opened your account
Bank/State/Branch Code: Ask for this from the Branch where you opened your account
Account Number: This will be given to you when you open your account
Beneficiary Name: Your name"

I don't know if all branches have their own SWIFT code or not., bt if you do a google.com.au (australia only) search of "CTBAAU2S" you will notice that it appears in reference to many CBA branches.

Good luck

Just phoned London and they say that the bank as a whole has that swift code and it is not branch specific.

The BSB code indicated which branch the account is held at.

Panic over thanks for the help.
