Thanks very much for that. Perversely the nearest panel doctor is in Carlisle, there aren't any south of Glasgow/Edinburgh as I thought!

Thats our checklist for what we submitted for our spouse visa app. We had already had the medicals done a bit before that was sent in, and also sent the police check with the application.

Police check took about 3 weeks to come back. Took us a lot longer just to get all that info together. Once it was submitted it was all done and visa granted very quickly.

That's it, it was your very helpful list I printed out Bert. As you say it is all the time spent in filling in Forms 40, 47 etc, etc and gathering all the documents, bills, photos etc for submission.

Our biggest pain was getting the notary to do the certified copies!

Oh and heres a tip I really should post elsewhere, apparently an English notary cannot certify a copy of a Scottish birth certificate! I had to get another copy from the Scottish registry to send in with application. Didnt take long to get, but was just yet another hurdle to leap!
