Default Help needed on moving to Brisbane

Hello there, me and my fiance are moving to Brisbane in July 2014. We will both be 27, I am a primary school teacher and he is a car mechanic. We are after some information on where are the best places to live around the area. Is there any websites you could recommend that would help us find accommodation etc for when we get there?
Thanks

Hi and Welcome to BE.

www.shorttermaccommodationbrisbane.com.au

Gumtree as well.

There are loads of nice suburbs around Brisbane. I live in the western suburbs but there good northern and eastern areas too. I would suggest to short term rent close to town and then search from there for work and schools etc... then when that is sorted you can look for a place close by to both hopefully.

Good luck!

I am using realestate.com.au and domain.com.au for searching, they seem pretty good.

You may need a short term place to stay until you find work - it's generally easier to live on the same side (ish) of the city to where you will be working as commuting can be painful and slow (by car). As a primary teacher you could end up anywhere (or even slighty outside of Brisbane) so you don't want to driving 1+ hours per day (well, I wouldn't if I didn't have to). Just my opinion!
