Can anyone help me, I had a UK PS2 and it played both uk and oz games. for a couple of days the PS2 is saying that it can't read the data on any games. so went out bought a new oz PS2 and tried that and that too is telling me theres no data on those discs, there's a pattern forming here and it looks like all the games that have been played or attempted to play on the old PS2 won't work yet all the UK games that we haven't played for a long time all work on the new PS2...

can a PS2 wipe the data from discs???

sorry for asking this but don't know enough people around here yet to go banging on doors asking questions like this.

Is life that bad without your PS2?

I had similar problems with an XBox. Took it to a shop for repair. They replaced the disc reader.

It;s just that it seems to be reading the ones that weren't played on the old ps2 when it started messing around, anyway I did take it to be fixed and was told that as we're in the NT they only can get parts for PS3 now.
besides yes life is crap without me singstar's and music quizz after a skin full!!

and yes thats what me OH said as well............. of course it broke after putting up with my singing!!!
