Default help - with kids

good afternoon everyone,

Things are all happening so quickly, I only very recently made the decision that Oz was the place I wanted to go. i started applying for jobs on Monday and have 4 offers already!!!!
I have also said on another thread that I apoligise in advance for the 6 million questions I will be asking over the next few weeks ....please bear with me, i am sooo excited
I am in the emergency services and will ineviatebly have to work shifts, I am also a single mother of a 4 year old and am moving over without the built in family support i have here. Does anyone have any advice on how i might manage this.../? I am determined to make this work but I have no illusions that it is going to be easy....
Thanks guys in advance..

Have you thought about a Nanny/live in babysitter ? Obviously it depends on your income, but worth looking into. There's a thread about it somewhere, I'll have a look for you

Here it is http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...ighlight=nanny

Where abouts are you going to be living?

Thanks for the reply, I have a choice between Brisbane and Sydney -
As for a live in nanny - no way will I be able to afford it I'm afraid - I WISH.
But there must be a way....
