HELP, I NEED A NEW LIFE :)
I am currently working in England as a bathroom fitter. I can tile, plumb, plaster. I do everything as a multi-skilled trades man, I am a very very hard worker, I am 51 years of age very healthy with no ailments and I can't seem to find the right visa that will grant me access and the right to work as of my age, can anybody help me, or put me in the right direction. My trade is on the Migration Occupation in Demand list but people say I need a sponsor can anybody help me????? If you help me I will fix your house free of charge

Well age will be an issue, but not impossible.
You say your trade is on the list and in demand, what is your trade? are you a plumber, a tiler, a bathroom fitter or a plasterer. Do you have official qualifications for your trade?

So your only option is employer sponsorship, but this is rare for trades who are often self-employed.
I think your chances of moving to Australia are quite slim, do you have any children living there?

Thank you for your help

Unfortunately you have left it too late for skilled migration, the cut off date is 50, although most would find it impossible to pass the points test after 45.

I'm hardly an expert, and I'm usually an optimist, but in all honesty I think you have left it too late. I'm sorry that's not what you want to hear, but i believe its the truth. Realistically, the visa applications takes some time, you have to have your skills assessed, and even if you were to find a company willing to sponsor a tradie, which from what I understand is very rare anyway, they are unlikely to want to sponsor someone of your age, as realistically they will have several applicants, most of which are likely to be younger than you.
Im 37 now, and im doing a degree in the hopes to emigrate, but I think even at 43 my chances to find a job and get out there will be very slim. I think you have to be realistic and simply forget it. Either that or marry a "sheila".....

No. Virtually all 'tradies' are employed on a casual basis, ie no contract. There are also many 'on the ground' here looking for work. Even if a company for some reason did decide to sponsor you, they would have to prove to DIAC that they are unable to find local workers to fill the position. They wouldn't be able to do this.
