Help to Get Back In an Emergency
We were booking our travel insurance for our holidays today & came across this company... I can't vouch for their competitiveness, but it seemed a sound idea to me for those leaving family behind

Re: Help to Get Back In an Emergency
Having just paid $3,000 each to dash back to the UK to deal with the death of my father, its looks at face value to be a good idea.
However, the exclusion clause Pre-existing medical conditions – any medical condition which have required a medical consultation during the last 2 Year.
Probably means that unless a death is by accident, many claims could be excluded.
BTW - QANTAS would not move an inch on their standard fare of more than $4,200 each despite being supposed to offer special fares in the event of a death. So we went Emirates and also avoided Heathrow

Re: Help to Get Back In an Emergency
I've heard good reports about Kinsure. This can be used by expat families to go home for emergencies and by family at home to come out to you for emergencies also.
